Concerning the Holy Supper:  “(We) confess, according to the words of Irenaeus, that in this Sacrament there are two things, a heavenly and an earthly. Accordingly, they hold and teach that with the bread and wine the body and blood of Christ are truly and essentially present, offered, and received.” (From “Formula of Concord, Solid Declaration, Art. VII:  Concerning the Holy Supper.” Source: https://bookofconcord.org/solid-declaration/the-holy-supper/#sd-vii-0014)

Grief Share: Jesus promises to be with His sheep who walk “through the valley of the shadow of death.”  (Psalm 23:4)  Trinity Lutheran in Grand Island offers hope to those who grieve in the form of a support group that meets on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m.  A new session starts February 19th.  See the flier on the informational cubicle for more information or call Trinity’s office at 308-382-0753.

Sanctity of Human Life:  “God created us anew in Baptism. We are the work of His hands, and He will not forsake us. Guided by the Spirit through the wisdom of His Word, we learn to walk in His ways, even when we must ‘walk in the midst of trouble.’” Dr. Carol Geisler, Lutheran Hour Ministries – A Life Quote from Lutherans For Life • lutheransforlife.org

Congregational Offerings:  It has been reported that offerings during summer and through the fall are not keeping pace with budgetary obligations.  Would you therefore commit this matter to your prayers, and consider making a gift to help meet our commitments?  Through your sacrificial offerings, we are able to bring the gospel of Jesus to our church members, neighbors, and throughout the world.  Thank you! “As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.”  (1 Peter 4:10)
